Project Background 
The Jinan Olympic Sports Center, as a landmark sports venue in Jinan City, covers an area of 81 hectares and includes a stadium, a gymnasium and other facilities such as "one stadium and three buildings". It is the core venue for large-scale events and public activities. The surrounding supporting projects, due to functional requirements, need to complete tasks such as well drilling and foundation drilling. They must not only ensure long-term water supply for the project but also adapt to the construction restrictions in the densely built environment around the venue. This poses extremely high requirements for the efficiency, stability and adaptability of the equipment and the site. 
Performance advantages 
The Zhengyuan SL400S drilling rig, with its numerous core advantages, has become the key equipment for this project: Equipped with a 92-kilowatt six-cylinder direct injection engine, it offers powerful and stable power output; The hydraulic system uses high-quality components, enabling precise adjustment of parameters such as speed and torque, suitable for various processes including deep hole drilling and pipe-following drilling; The maximum drilling depth reaches 400 meters, meeting the requirements of deep-hole operations; The crawler design, combined with a wide chassis, has a large ground contact area, allowing for flexible movement in complex sites and reducing ground damage caused by rolling. 
Process and Challenges 
During the construction process, two core challenges were encountered: Firstly, the surrounding area was densely populated with buildings, which imposed strict requirements on the size and operational precision of the construction equipment, and it was necessary to avoid any impact on the venue facilities; Secondly, the geological strata were complex, with alternating hard rocks and soft soil layers, which often led to low drilling efficiency or cave-ins.
To address these issues, the SL400S drilling rig demonstrated significant advantages: Through its tracked movement and compact design, it could precisely position and operate in narrow areas; When encountering hard rocks, it could efficiently break the rocks by using a large torque output in combination with the sub-bit hammer process; When dealing with soft soil layers, it could promptly adjust the advance parameters and adopt pipe-following drilling to effectively prevent the collapse of the hole wall. At the same time, the fully hydraulic control reduced the manual operation intensity, improved the continuity of the operation, and ensured smooth connection of each process. 
Project outcomes 
Ultimately, the SL400S drilling rig successfully completed all the drilling tasks. The water wells it drilled had stable water output and met the water quality standards, fully meeting the water demand of the project. During the construction process, there were no equipment malfunctions, and the overall construction period was shortened by 12% compared to the planned schedule, significantly reducing the construction cost. Its stable performance in complex environments and its friendly nature towards the surrounding areas were recognized by both the construction party and the venue management party, making it a model of efficient drilling equipment in large-scale venue supporting projects
